Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée

It’s always great to cap off a fantastic meal on a sweet note. If you’re looking for something that’s not too sweet but still quite indulgent, then this recipe is the perfect post-meal treat for you. It’s a twist on the classic French dessert using the ever so popular salted caramel. Expect a contrast of flavors and textures that will leave your taste buds begging for more!

Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée


2 cups Heavy whipping cream

1 tsp Vanilla

1/3 cup Salted Caramel

1/8 cup Granulated sugar

6 Egg yolks

Brown sugar



Step 1: Pre-heat Ilo Multi Cooker Set to 160° C or 350° F.

Step 2: Make the custard. To make the custard, just mix heavy whipping cream, salted caramel, sugar, and bring to a boil. Turn off heat and cool for 15 minutes.

Step 3: In a separate bowl, beat 6 egg yolks well with a whisk.

Step 4: Slowly pour the custard mixture in a slow and steady stream while whisking the eggs vigorously.

Step 5: Strain the mixture into another bowl.

Step 6: Place the low rack inside the Ilo Multi Cooker Set and fill it with water until halfway.

Step 7: Put the ramekins and pour mixture until ¾ of the ramekin is filled.

Step 8: Cover the Ilo Multi Cooker Set with the glass lid and set it for 30-40 minutes.

Step 9: Remove the ramekins carefully and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 10: Chill it in the refrigerator for an hour.

Step 11: Sprinkle brown sugar on top and caramelize it using a blow torch.

(Tip: you can use a heated spoon if you don’t have a blow torch)
